Puchi-Puchi

My lovely sister purchased me the above electronic bubble wrap key chain for me as a fun little stocking stuffer type gift. You push the squishy bubbles on the front and it makes a little electronic popping sound, making it essentially never ending bubble-wrap-popping delight! That boy's excitement in the photo is not exaggerated. I had the key chain in my pocket while I grocery shopped yesterday and I am pretty sure I popped it the whole time I was in Wal-mart. It rocks, thanks Yell!

(By the way, puchi-puchi is what they call bubble wrap in Japan where this silly invention comes from.)

Dreams

As many of you know I often have horrifying, violent dreams. My sleep is often plagued with blood, disembodied heads, serial killers, and alien monsters. Others have been so disturbed when I relate my dreams to them that they advise me to seek professional help for analysis (of me or the dreams I am not sure).

Last night however, I had a dream that was the polar opposite to my normal night time flights of fancy. I dreamed that I was getting a massage. I think that I can interpret that one myself...

We aren't the only ones!

My family, especially my sister and I, have always been huge believers in the amazing power of hugs.

While watching the pilot Pushing Daisies last night, one of the characters described her philosophy on hugs saying, "A hug can turn your day around, it's like an emotional Heimlich. Someone puts their arms around you, and they give you a squeeze and all your fear and anxiety comes shooting out of your mouth, and you can breathe again."

I thought that it was perfect and needed to be shared. So there you go, a little hug quote. I hope it makes you smile.
