Evening Sidetrack Conversation

I am posting this for Joe, as he is busy looking into the price of server seeds. He would like to pose a question to the group:

If you had to karaoke, what song would you chose?

When I answered that I would not karaoke, Joe said that refusing to participate would result in chopped off limbs...so stay anonymous at peril to you precious body parts.

I would sing 'Mack the Knife' with my partner Carla.

So, a lot of my top picks would be Green Day songs. Here are a few that I would consider:

Christie Road
Church on Sunday
Brainstew
Basketcase

Of course, there is my other favorite band of all time, Incubus:

Wish You Were Here
Make Yourself
Drive

One of the above mentioned songs. I think it would tend to be decided on what the person with me would sing cause I sure as hell wouldn't go up there by myself (unless I was severely inebriated... of course, it wouldn't matter at that point because it would not be a good performance... of course, it could be a really entertaining performance, which would kind of make it good)

songs I have kareoke'd, in either bars or private homes:

- mack the knife
- you've lost that loving feeling
- take a chance on me (ABBA)
- piano man
- sunshine (stevie wonder)
- you were meant for me (jewel)
- black velvet

if I were to have a go with unlimited song selection right now and no comedic intent:
- bobby mcgee (janis!)
- give me just one reason (that one black chick I cant think of her name but she sang Fast Car)
- Givin him something he can feel (En Vogue version)
- Beautiful stranger (madonna)

NEVER would I sing, unless someone I loved was being threatened with great bodily harm. Bring it on Joe!

In homage to our trip to Memphis, I say 'Macho Man'.
