Sign Up Sheet

Some time ago, Carla, my lovely sister-in-law, and I decided that everyone we know should have a useful skill pretty much for the sole purpose of the two of us taking advantage of them. Nevertheless, it is time people, to select what useful skill you are going to learn. Here are some options:

--hair dresser
--massage therapist
--manicur/pedicurist
--personal trainer
--chef/nutritionist
--cake decorator --- Casie
--makeup artist
--stylist/fashion expert
--tailor
--mechanic --- Darin
--interior designer
--contractor
--travel agent

I would like to thank those of you who have already signed up and I am expecting results from the rest of you.

I would like to add one of my own...

Biscuit extraordinaire

Yes, I volunteer for make-up artist and interior decorator. I would volunteer for Biscuit extraordinaire, but I'm not sure what that is. I suspect that it is something naughty.

I would also like to volunteer Phil for fashion expert and tech support*.

*I notice you don't have tech support on your list yet. It might be a good idea. Also, Joe and Phil should share that position.

What is Carla volunteering for?

a naughty biscuit

that should be a band name.

I concur with Colleen's additions. Also my fadder should be custom furniture maker.

I have no skills, apparently. Anyone have a position they would nominate me for?

I used to be a really good travel agent and event planner, BC. Now I have no damn time to manage my own crap, never mind anyone elses.

PS who is this yell / biscuit person?

Sure...fashion expert sounds good...if you get the computer tech support on there, I'll sign up for that as well.

Well, after perusing your list I have decided that it’s not so much that I do not have any discernable skills, but it’s mainly my refusal to be labeled by your labels. Instead, I shall present you the following alternatives. Firstly, pirate, both of the sea and the internet. Well I’m working on the former and the latter is not really a skill unless you consider willingness to get sued a skill. Secondly, I propose the notion that I be able to challenge for skills already claimed. Now I’m not saying I could make better biscuits *ahem* but I humbly believe that competition will foster innovation and benefit the consumers, i.e. you. That and I do have a background in bakery… Or thirdly, I can take a really simple concept/request and mutate it into something of a long winded and overly verbose response encompassing many arbitrarily large words in an attempt to sound more intelligent, ipso facto the current sentence. Choose wisely.

…or I can be massage therapist if not for the sole reason that I will rarely be in the same state as you for the foreseeable future and it will therefore be difficult to prove that I suck at it.
