Mental Image

I just got a mental picture of the Fox executives sitting around a table talking about Dollhouse when one of them says, "you know, last time we cancelled one of Whedon's shows it didn't work out so well..."

Indeed. They should think twice. Still it is all about having the viewers and being able to keep them. The public cannot always be depended on for good judgement and taste... Is the show good? ashamed to say I have not done my share to support joss whedon in his latest venture...

I think that like every other Whedon show (save Firefly, as it never got a chance) this first season is a little weak, but it definitely has potential. I enjoy it despite the lead actresses inability to make more then on facial/emotional expression...she is very Keanu like that.

The Whedonverse is grand indeed. I agree with both of you- what's projected to be popular and what actually is isn't always the same. The result is sometimes we lose good shows like firefly. I haven't really gotten into Dollhouse, but I haven't seen a lot of it either.

I really like Dollhouse, it has all the Whedon trademarks surrounded by a totally new arena. It is a little slow going but you can tell he is establishing a good twisty story.
