Whip It, & Whip It Good!

I was doing a little bit of self reflecting today, i.e. not paying attention in class, when I realized that I have no stress relief mechanisms in place for myself. Instead, I tend to hold on to stress with a white-knuckled grasp that can only be loosened with a crowbar (and the removal or passing of the stress causer).

Realized is probably the wrong choice of words however, as this is not, nor should it be, a new thought about myself. I have made myself fairly ill in the pass simply from being under a good amount stress (yeah jr. year of high school!). Of course, you maybe wondering why you all care. Here's why; life is starting to work its stressful magic on me and I would like to deal with it before illness sets in. That's where you come in. I need everyone to comment with their own stress relieving methods and activities. Maybe it I do ALL of them at once, I can manage to let go of the worries and pressure.

Thank you for your forthcoming assistance!

I visit cuteoverload.com, take a nap with a purring cat, watch mst3k, or go shopping.

Those are the most positive ways I deal with stress. There are a few dozen bad ways I deal with stress too.

okay, crazy me ...... ummm I play WOW (World of Warcraft, for those non-nerdy people). I get to kill things and yell at people w/o damaging anything in real life...... its a great way to deal w/ stress 1/4 of my cohort is now using it. unfortunately it is slightly addictive......

An other way is knitting ( yeah I know two different worlds) it allows me to keep my hands busy but allows my mind to de-stress and work through some things.

Then there is my favorite way to de-stress: Tim and/or ice cream.

Playing video games or board games (if you have a partner) is highly diverting for me... Also, I suppose I very much like to sit quietly: often in a corner and preferrably in the dark, and listen to my favorite songs.

due to my very limited options I either:

1. dance with Mia to fun things like Laurie Berkner or Yo Gabba Gabba

2. Eat ice cream

3. crash my car

A little late but better then never...I usually choreograph dance routines (or just dance in the bathroom whilst pretty-afying myself) or read a fantasy book because then you are no longer in your world you are in theirs.
